I have one for people out there. My son aged 5 has a few times been to Bike Smart in Haywards Heath with me, he also love my bike almost as much as I do. When seeing Pete at the shop and talking, Pete offered to drive Leo (my son) around his training Pad so he can say he has been on a bike which is nice. I have also been saying to Leo about maybe letting him learn to ride as a child on a mini bike or something but not before he could ride his pushbike of course!!
This gave him renewed interest in the pushbike and he has been practising lots, I hope to take the stabilisers off soon and let him fall over and wobble his way towards riding the push bike in that terrified feeling we all remember :)

After that I feel quite happy to potentially allow him to learn on a mini bike and possible get one of the mini moto bikes or similar to do this, however we do not own a farm or land and I suspect him riding round our garden would be asking for trouble.

My question therefore is where do kids learn? I see clips on youtube and all kinds of other places of small kids, tehy even race etc.. But where? and how? Do I need to be a farmer with land or loaded and join a race club or something??

Any Ideas or suggestions out there????

I want to go faster, I want to go faster..

For those out there looking for a new challenge, to lose weight or to just learn something new then have you thought about Taekwon Do? Hear is my Taekwon Do Training Diary as it is a great thing to take up. Great excercise, ethos as well as self defense.

What about Goldings Barn over near Steyning? They have a training school for Moto-x, and there are a few more about, one near heathfield, although I not 100% certain its still there, but might worth a search on the internet.www.goldingbarnraceway
I couldn't open the browser, but it will give you a start.
Then there is the mini moto at Lydd Airport, proper track and reasonably close, plus you can visit Dungeness for a top up of radio active energy boosters. http://www.dirtbikebitz.com/wheretoride.php.

Hope this helpsCool

Need to try and find a turn up and try. Pete used to have a midi moto bike but sold it. I need to find someone with a bike and a field I think. The search continues..
