New to the forum, so thought I should say Hi.

Recently bought a 2002 fireblade off a mate after about five years off a road bike, and loving being back on the road!

Ride a bit offroad stuff, motocross (very badly) mainly, when I get the time and the old bones are up to it!

Lost touch with old biking buddies, so would be intersted in anybody/groups around the Guildford area that would be interested in meeting up for rides, etc.

Cheers

For those out there looking for a new challenge, to lose weight or to just learn something new then have you thought about Taekwon Do? Hear is my Taekwon Do Training Diary as it is a great thing to take up. Great excercise, ethos as well as self defense.

Welcome Abyz, new myself, a good ride out would be the 29th from Boxhill, for a worthwhile cause. Should be fun if Debbie gets 100 bikes there it should get in the news one way or another.

Hope we do get the number, it was positive that our first ride out a couple days ago got 15 or so and that was cold evening and so I am sure we will get the numbers. Abyz, you should come along to a Wednesday ride if you want and meet some of the gang and have a laugh, you could even sugget a ride that involves the brew stop in guildford and then you dont have a long ride home!!

More riders the better!!Drool

Hi Abyz,

We will be riding over your way a few times this summer so keep an eye on the forum or on SEB facebook group. We do the wednesday night ride out and with so many group members over your way we will be doing some on Saturdays and Sundays to Hampshire and Surrey.

Nice choice of bike, I like the blade just a little big for me, my little twin (SV650S) is perfect. I have very bad back and neck so have to be careful somedays as can't ride but I try to get out as much as possible. I am like one of those Meerkats, when the sun comes out, sunbathing to warm up first it causes all sorts of problems as I have scared a few people.

Anyway, welcome and you may be interested in joining our charity ride on 29th May. Have a look at the events page and you'll see when we are over you way too.

Cheers

Welcome - I've popped onto the forum a few times but not managed to get to a meet yet. I had a 2002 Blade a few years ago and loved it! Presume it was like yours - the 954cc model. Took it down over to the continent a few times and it just ate up the miles. It was a blue / white one and still wish I had it now (as well).

Catch up soon - when this flamin' weather warms / dries up!

Cheers

Thanks for the replies everybody, much appreciated!

Definately interested in joining one of the rideouts, unfortunately Wednesday is one of the nights I have the kids (trial seperation), so I'll have to look out for a weekend ride! Wedding on the 29th (not mine) so can't make that either, but its a long and hopefully hot summer so will catch up with you all at some time.

Yes the blade is a cracker, mega quick, but also easy to ride slowly (which is what I do), also a red/white/blue 954 model, and only 4500 miles on the clock.

If there are any folks local to Guildford who fancy a meet up some time, drop me a message it would be good to have some company on the road!

Cheers
Andy
