Hello

Thought I had better introduced myself - 60 yrs old back to bikes type however just Yamaha XJ600n which is 11 yrs old.

I'm not sure if SE includes Oxfordshire, I hope so.

Work in a planning department locally, that's local government, married with three children - oldest 21 - youngest 15.

Previous bike was an MZ 250 (don't laugh), in the end fell out of love with it now miss all the smoke and banging.

thanks MW, that's an attractive bike, I'm guessing 220kg dry? Grew up in Kent so know Rye a little bit. My mother lives near Bexley which is technically Kent.

Cheers MW as you can see I like black bikes!, you seem to be at the opposite end of the SE empire so out of range really, did manage north Norfolk and south coast though this year on the XJ - must say the Norfolk trip was rather blowy (is that proper word?) on a naked and the roads just seem to go on and on apparently getting nowhere fast.

May I recommend 'biker forum' - unfortunately down just at the minute, I'll look out for you!

yep - google biker forum - (run by bikers for bikers) - very easy to use site and quite a big population being national, the Scots bikers are some of the most entertaining - see one caller 'bomber harris' although, as previously said, its off line at present.

getting fed up with this horrible weather - for me biking is a way of dealing with work stresses so boiling over right now!
