Hi one and all. Some will have heard and some not but BikerChris on our forum who has been out on some of rides and is well known around our parts had a pretty bad accident a couple of weeks ago. Recently I have talking with him and am glad he is in better spirits and on the mend. After an arguement with a car pulling in front of him he ended up with 4 breaks in his femur and also broke his pelvis.

Considering this only 2 weeks ago I think he is making great progress, after a short time in ICU he had his 3rd operation yesterday to remove the external metal work around his pelvis which went well. He is already starting on rehabilitation to work on getting back on his feet.

He is in good spirits and already planning on how he will be funding the next bike. Below are a few pics of bike and rider. Chris will come online when he gets the opportunity. Any messages can be passed on through here if you wish.

All at the forum and South East Biker and Bike Smart wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him soon

Hiya all, thanks Mike for posting up, very much appreciated. And thanks AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN for riding from Haywards 'eef to Tunbridge Wells hospital with a DVD selection, that's really appreciated too!

Well its day 23 in hospital and touch wood MRSA or the food hasn't killed me yet. I might even be let out in a week - or rather pushed out so someone else can use the bed! All of my metal work has been removed as Magnum says, as of last Monday and I've been using crutches pretty well (apart from one minor slip) for around 6 days now.

It'll be a month at least before I go back to work, I estimate 2-3 months before I can get a bike and that bike will be a Blackbird with any luck!

Still a bit painful, but the worst has past, thank god.

Thanks again for your support.

All the best,

Chris
