For those out there looking for a new challenge, to lose weight or to just learn something new then have you thought about Taekwon Do? Hear is my Taekwon Do Training Diary as it is a great thing to take up. Great excercise, ethos as well as self defense.

The first ride of summer will be to The Chalet at Cowfold on wednesday May 5th leaving Bikesmart Haywards Heath around 6.30. All welcome, no matter what you ride from 'ped to Hyabusa! A bit of a cross country bimble then a cup of tea and burger if you fancy it. We are not speed freaks (especially me, Captain Slow), so don't be put off by thinking it's all sportsbike nutters (though we may let a couple come along!)

I think the ride last night was enjoyed by all, there was i guess about 15 bikes in the end which I think was a fantastic effort for the first ride of the season.

Pete decided the route and I think he wanted to check the suspension on some of the bikes going by the bouncy castle style roads we went along!! Personaly I only saw one person manage to do an arse slide (rear wheel not actual arse, that would hurt) but it was pretty impresive, personally I think they need a bike with a better brake!!!

There was a great selection of bikes ranging from a fantastic black Ninja (Ok, that was mine!!), to a triumph, a GSXR, ducati and of course Pete trusty 600f.

It was a good bunch of people with mixed selection of riding styles but I think fun was had by all, the Chalet did well on their late Wednesday by us all tucking into chips (OK, Some of us had a bloody big pie with it!!!) and the all important brew!!!!!!!

Cant wait for next week. I have set up a new thread for the planning for next week and so please toodle on over and add your ideas and suggestions Wednesday 12th May Ride Details . But in the meantime here are some piccies!!!

Hi Guy's,

It was really great seeing so many riders out for our first ride. Thank you all for turning up and having a superb ride round the Sussex countyside. Unfortunately I got a little lost, Pete took as on a magical mystery tour but I took a wrong turn, OOPS Confused sorry those following me!

The Chalet is open til 9pm on Wednesday and I have it on good authority that the steak and chips was bril and great price for what you got, I had bacon sandwich and that was lovely.

I thought we had a good turnout for a cold spring night so lets hope it warms up a bit more soon.

If anyone has any good ideas for a great ride on Wednesday or Thursdays please let me know any ideas considered.

Thanks Pete for a great ride and see you all Wednesday. BigGrin
