Congratulations to Embassy Triumph and Glen Richards for winning the British Supersport Championship on the Daytona 675 - a long time since a British bike last won a major road racing series.

Motorcycle sales dropped by 9.7% in september compared to 21.2% in car sales.

The economic pessimism has affected the industry although fuel costs, congestion and the general level of traffic, particularly in the south east, has led to a rise in moped and small bike sales.

The publicity surrounding the new (delayed) motorcycle test has also stimulated interest in two wheeled transport.

Tommy Searle finished a very creditable 2nd in the MX2 Motocross World Championship on a Red Bull KTM. Tommy, 18, from Kent will be competing in the USA next season.

The famous marque of Norton Motorcycles is due to return to the UK.

Stuart Garner is the new owner and is planning to re-launch the brand. Let’s hope it is as successful as Triumph’s return.

I want to go faster, I want to go faster..
